Cách Thức Thiết Bàn Thờ Phật

Phật là đấng phước trí đầy đủ, là tấm gương cao quí nên ta cần thờ kính để noi theo, sám hối lỗi lầm, và chiêm bái. Muốn thờ Phật ta nên thiết bàn Phật.

Bàn thờ Phật phải thiết ở nơi trang nghiêm, sáng sủa, sạch sẽ, phải được lau chùi luôn luôn.

Khi thiết bàn thờ Phật ta đặt ảnh tượng Ngài ở chính giữa, phía trước là lư hương, hai bên hai bình hoa và hai cây đèn. Nếu được có thêm đĩa trái cây và chén nước. Ngoài ra bàn thờ được thiết trí thêm chuông và mõ (chuông đặt bên phải, mõ đặt bên trái từ ngoài nhìn vào). Các kinh Phật có thể để trên bàn thờ hoặc trên một bàn nhỏ riêng.

Khi ta thiết bàn thờ Phật lần đầu tiên ta nên làm lễ An Vị.

How To Arrange Buddha’s Altar

Buddha is one who has perfected himself, unaided by any supernatural power, the destroyer of all corruption and uncleanliness in life; whose wisdom is profound or deeply intellectual; and who is enlightened one. To show respect, we worship Buddha and need to display his image with honour.

The worshiping altar should be located in a solemn, visible and clean place, and it must be kept clean.

The Buddha-image is placed at the center of the altar, behind the incense burner, which is a special kind of bowl, filled with clean sand and placed on a flat vessel or saucer. There are two flower vases and two candles on both sides. Besides these one may also have a dish of fruits and a cup of water on the altar.

There are also bell (chuông) and wooden drum (mõ) on the altar; with bell on the left and wooden drum on the right facing the altar. The chanting books and Buddha’s teachings are either placed on the altar or on a small table separately.

There is usually a ceremony of the Buddha in-placed for the first time.
